Potje Partners with Quantoz for Launch of New Embedded Payment Services

Quantoz Payments B.V. has introduced its Embedded Payment Services, a new modular API-based platform designed to help fintech companies, digital platforms, and payment service providers seamlessly integrate regulated digital money, accounts, wallets, payments, and compliance features into their offerings. Potje, a Dutch group savings application that allows users to save collectively for shared goals, is the first company to utilize this platform.

This innovative service broadens Quantoz Payments’ product suite beyond regulated e-money tokens by offering APIs and infrastructure aimed at facilitating the creation of payment and settlement solutions across European markets. The platform empowers businesses to incorporate specific payment components while minimizing the complexities related to licensing, compliance, safeguarding, and operational infrastructure.

Built on blockchain-native technology, Quantoz’s Embedded Payment Services allow partners to integrate and scale various components according to their needs. Key features of the platform include accounts and digital wallets, inbound and outbound payments and collections, Pay by Bank payment functionality, and fraud, risk, and compliance processes.

Potje, as the first live partner, collaborated closely with Quantoz during the platform’s development. This integration provides Potje users with the benefit of secure fund storage under the supervision of the Dutch Central Bank through Quantoz Payments. Users can add funds using a Europe-wide Pay by Bank service, enjoy instant payouts, and maintain flexibility with withdrawals. Potje’s CEO, Bastiaan Reurink, highlighted that the partnership is intended to enhance the ease and security of group saving, with quick top-ups and immediate payouts supporting their goal to become a preferred group money account for friends across Europe.

Arjen van Klaarbergen, Chief Legal Officer of Quantoz Payments, noted that the new service offers fintechs and platforms regulated digital-money infrastructure without the need for them to independently establish compliance, safeguarding, and payment operations. Operating within its existing regulatory framework, Quantoz Payments is licensed as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the Netherlands, supervised by the Dutch Central Bank, and ensures that funds received for e-money are safeguarded according to European regulations. The Embedded Payment Services are accessible to fintechs, platforms, and payment service providers across the European Economic Area (EEA).
